In order to obtain the German Job seeker visa, you need to fulfill the following criteria:
Submit an Intent letter
Hold a Bachelor or Master’s Degree
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in your related field of study
Show proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your stay during the time you are in Germany, minimum INR 3.5 Lacs
Have travel or medical insurance for your entire stay in Germany or until you get your Work Permit
What this Visa lets you do:
The German Job seeker visa holder can stay in Germany for a period of 6 months
If you have recognized degree from a German University , the Job seeker visa will be approved for a period of 18 months
Once visa holder finds relevant job in Germany , he/she would be eligible to apply for German work permit i.e. EU blue card
You can obtain permanent residence permit after 33 months post obtaining the EU Blue card
If you can prove your German language proficiency , you can obtain permanent residence permit post 21 months of obtaining the EU blue card
File processing time: 12 Weeks from the date of application submission at the German Embassy
Application fee: INR 4200 (Value may change depending on Euro Rate)
Document verification charges: INR 20000 – 45000 depending on the location of the applicant
