South Africa Dependent Visa
The South African Government facilitates an Individual who is lawfully residing is South Africa to bring along their dependents.
Principal applicants who are staying in the following visas are applicable to sponsor their dependents Retired visa, treaty visa, Critical skills work visa, work visas, business and medical visas.
There are several other eligibility requirements to be met by the dependent applicant to be able to accompany the principal applicant.
Principal applicant is required to hold temporary residence visa
Proof of sufficient financial funds are to be submitted
Valid return ticket or relevant funds to be shown
Relationship documents , Identity documents of both principal and dependent applicant are to be submitted
Dependent children who are studying are required to apply for a separate visa i.e. student visa

What this visa lets you do:
Dependent applicant can stay in South Africa as long as principal applicant visa is valid.
Dependent applicant are not allowed to work under this visa category , if they would like to work they are required to qualify or apply for either Critical skills work visa or General skills work visa
Dependent visa application would be approved within a standard duration of 40 days however, the duration may change from application to application
